In this blog we will get to know Microsoft team share screen steps, we will talk about different option available to share screen in Microsoft Teams.
Microsoft Team is a successor of Skype for business, it has features like, calling, chatting, Screen share, Meetings, collaboration etc.
Microsoft team share screen can be done on one to one call with someone on teams or a during a Teams meeting, group meetings, etc.
Steps for Microsoft team share screen:
Search and open Microsoft team, on the Desktop(Steps are similar for Teams online as well):
It can sometime take more time to open, but that’s fine, wait till the loading screen goes away:
Once it has opened, it should look like this:
Steps for Microsoft team share screen with a user:
To share a screen with someone inside your organization, search for them in the search bar and then select their account respectively:
You can either call them using the phone Icon on the top right and then share the screen with the them or Directly click on the Screen sharing option highlighted below to share the screen:
Once you click on the Screen sharing option, you will have to select the wind
ow which you would like to share with them, Selecting Desktop will show them everything that you see on your screen:
If you only want to share a particular window, you should only select that windows form the options available to you.
If you don’t see the window which you want to share, make sure that the window is open or if its an application, make sure that the app is running.
Once you select the screen to share, you will the following screen:
In my example above, the user Tahir, is not available so he wont be able to receive the rings to pick up.
Make sure that the person is not offline before sharing the screen with them.
Steps for Microsoft team share screen with a Team’s Group chat:
Navigate to the group chat and then click on the Screen sharing option and then select the window to share:
The members of the group chat will receive a pop up with a ring to accept a screen sharing request.
Steps for Microsoft team share screen with a Team’s channel:
Go to the team and open the channel on which you would like to share screen.
Screen sharing option is not available for a Team’s channel, we can select Meet now option as shown in the image below.
Meet now is a meeting option which starts the meeting directly and all the members of the channel gets notified to join it.
Once the members joines the meeting, you can simply click on Share option and then select the screen to share with all the members:
