Hi Everyone this is Prem, I have worked as Microsoft 365 support ambassador. We have shared Fix for Trusted Platform Module Error in Outlook on this post.
Trusted Platform Module has Malfunctioned error occurs when we try to sign in to any office application and after entering the email address and password it gives us the error.
The error code for this error prompt may be different but they might be resolved from few generic steps.
Steps to Fix Trusted Platform Module Error in Outlook:
Open Settings on the computer > then click on Accounts :
Click on Access work or school:
If you see the account you are having issue signing in into Outlook, here, you can Disconnect the account if you see the account listed as Work or School account only.
Click on Disconnect > then click on Yes.
Once disconnected, Try to sign in again in the outlook application where you trying before and check the behaviour.
If the above steps did not not Fix Trusted Platform Module has Malfunctioned, We can try the final step:
Make sure that the work or school section shown in step 1 does not repopulate your account in Access work or school section again.
If the account shows up there again as work or school account, disconnected it again.
Try signing in again to the Outlook application where you were getting the error by entering your email address followed by your password
After you enter your password you should see a prompt like this :
Next make sure the option “Allow my organization to manage my device” is unchecked or click on “No, sign in to this app only” and check the behaviour.
